Artist Statement

As long as I can remember, I have tried to capture images and preserve those visions that touch me. The instinct to photograph is born of the need for self-expression, connection and interpretation. I use photography as a way to distill experiences into singular elements of beauty and humanity. My photographs seek to interpret visceral reactions to human encounters, and to create an emotional connection to place and time.
